Just for today.

Things happen when you least expect them.
You wrapped your arms around me
& I pretended not to feel

But I did (I've waited forever, a day, and another for this)
& once again you touch my soul.
A wound - healing, scarred again.
A wound - cut open to bleed again.

And so I find myself in tears -- again.
Tears for you
for me for us
For today - just for today
And the days to come.
